Ultem® PEI is a semi-transparent high-temperature plastic. It is used to make custom parts as well as fasteners such as screws, hex nuts, washers, threaded studs, and spacers. It can be both molded and machined.
Delrin® homopolymer also known as POM is used to make screws, hex nuts, threaded rods, set screws, as well as many other fasteners and custom parts.
Over time, exposure to UV radiation from sunlight will degrade plastics. Polymer photo-degradation occurs when non-visible UV radiation made up of short wavelengths breaks down the polymer chains in plastics. This is called the photo-degradation process.
