Custom Molded Parts Service
Design & Engineering
Craftech Industries, Inc. designs, manufactures, and ships parts in-house in Hudson, New York. We help you choose the right material based on the potential for chemical resistance, wear, impact, and tight-tolerance machining. Our design and engineering team works closely with the customer to develop and optimize product designs for injection molding. We use advanced software and simulation tools to ensure parts are high-quality and cost-effective from the start.
Tool Making
An injection mold is a process used to shape molten plastic into a finished part. Craftech’s ability to take an idea from prototype to full production involves our team construction precise molds to ANSI tolerance. Once your mold is built, full production begins. With over five decades of hands-on experience, our molding division works across all types of engineered thermoplastic resins — including PEEK, Nylon, Ultem, Vespel, PVDF, for the customers specific application.
Injection Molding Production
Craftech’s plastic injection molding presses run from 40 to 400 tons, producing parts 1 gram and up — supporting everything from small precision components to larger production runs. An injection molding machine consists of a loader, reciprocating screw, barrel, nozzle, and platen. The process begins by drying polymer granules to remove any moisture. A reciprocating screw carries the molten plastic through toward the nozzle. Material is then injected it into the mold. Once the plastic solidifies, the mold opens and ejector pins push the finished part free. This entire cycle typically repeats every 18 to 90 seconds.
Secondary Operations & Value-Added Manufacturing
Many molded parts require more than a single molding cycle to reach their final form. Craftech’s in-house secondary operations allow us to deliver finished, ready-to-ship components rather than raw molded parts. We offer Ultrasonic Welding, Ultrasonic Insertion, Annealing, and Assembly. Consolidating these steps under one roof reduces lead times, simplifies logistics, and eliminates the added cost and risk of managing multiple outside vendors for finishing work.
Quality Assurance & Inspection
Every part Craftech produces is inspected before it ships. Our quality assurance process is built into every stage of production helping ensure dimensional accuracy, material consistency, and repeatability across every run, from initial samples through full production volumes for years to come. This end-to-end commitment to quality is what makes Craftech Industries, Inc. a one-stop source for precision plastic components and molds.
